Join the Community Renewal Chorus (CRC) for its 49th annual holiday concert! Lully, Lullay features CRC’s signature musical variety of Gospel spirituals, music from the Renaissance, sacred carols, and seasonal favorites. A new Christmas Cantata by composer and director Brian Bloye examines the Christmas story through an array of ancient texts set to new music. The CRC holiday concert has become a tradition essential to the season!

Our holiday concert is at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at St. Alphonsus Church (1429 W. Wellington Avenue, Chicago, IL).

About the Community Renewal Chorus
Founded in 1970, the Community Renewal Chorus is a not-for-profit organization joining communities of singers from throughout the Chicago metropolitan area to celebrate the music of different cultures while sharing a message of hope and harmony. CRC embraces diversity and seeks to promote understanding among individuals of all traditions, beliefs, and backgrounds through the beauty of music. Active in Chicago’s musical life for almost 50 years, CRC has performed over 500 concerts across the U.S. and internationally.
Its repertoire encompasses music from many traditions and cultures, including major classical works, folk songs from diverse cultures, contemporary and traditional hymns, Broadway show tunes, spirituals and gospel, and songs that reflect hope for the city.
